Abstract:

From the epochs in which he was extinguished, the horse, painting and sculpture, which the humanity used for many purposes, have been used as a figure. The heroic stories of the historic city squares that came to place are depicted while depicted, the place is reflected from the inside of the life that came to place, as it is on a stable scene. In every society and culture, the meaning and importance of these animals in life is shaped by the dynamics of that society. While the horses for a warrior civilization are like soldiers, the burden animal for a couple can be a trace-long assistant for the two hunters. In the painting art, the horses, my period, have been depicted differently according to the art and culture. The purpose of this research is to explore the place and how the horse figure was addressed in the pre-modernism and modern era western painting. In the study, several examples of painting were selected and studied from the Baroque Period to the Modern Period (Empressionism) painting. In this article, which took advantage of the scan of literature, the subject was tried to be explained by applying to the visual analysis of the quality research methods.
