Ekolojik sistem anlamında bir kısaltma olarak dilimizde yer eden ekosistem, çevrecilik ile ilgili bir kavramdır. Doğanın sahip olduğu düzeni tanımlar. Bu düzen, herhangi bir müdahale olmadan, doğanın kendi işleyişidir. Egosistem tabirindeki ego kelimesi ise Türk Dil Kurumuna göre doğrudan “ben” anlamına gelmektedir. Endüstriyel üretimlerde çevreci yaklaşımlardan uzak, bilinçsiz tahribat söz konusu olduğu gibi sanatsal üretimlerde de aynı durum söz konusu olabilir. Bu durum moda tasarımdan, takı tasarıma kadar pek çok disiplinde örneklendirilebilir. Sanatsal veya endüstriyel tasarımlar ortaya koyan insan yeri geldiğinde ekosisteme zarar verirken yeri geldiğinde de tasarımlarında doğadan ilham alıp biyomimetik bilimini kullanması manidardır. Doğa tamamen insana hizmet eden bir özellikte iken buna ek olarak sanatsal üretimlere de ilham olması ile varlığının büyüklüğü ve önemi artmaktadır. Bu bağlamda sanat alanında biyomimetik örneklerin incelenmesi ve ardından bir uygulama yapılması ile doğaya dikkat çekilecektir. Ülkemizde, biyotaklit-sanat ilişkisini konu alan kısıtlı çalışmaların mevcudiyeti, takı sanatında ise hiç yayın veya uygulama olmayışı bu alandaki eksiklik olarak görülmüştür. Endüstriyel üretimlerde maddi kaygılar, sanatsal üretimlerde kişinin kendini gerçekleştirmesi gibi sanatın çıkış noktaları, insanlığın ortak değeri olan çevre ve ona karşı sorumluluk alma zorunluluğundan daha önemli olabilmektedir. Aslında sanatçı boşluğu sorgulayan ve dolduran bir kişilik özelliğine de sahiptir. Bu aşamada, sanatçı egosistemi çıkış noktası olarak görüp, ortaya koyacağı eseriyle bir nebze de olsa doğada geri dönüşü olmayan bir boşluk üretmiş yani doğal kaynaklara, habitata zarar vermiş de olabilir. Konunun ekosistemle ilgisi olduğundan dolayı, sokakta karşılaşılan farklı bireylere ve hatta küresel sosyal işleyişe kadar uzanan etkileri olabileceğinden sosyolojik yönü olan bir araştırmadan da söz edilebilir.
Ecosystem, which is an abbreviation for the ecological system in our language, is a concept related to environmentalism. It defines the order that nature has. This order is nature's workings, without any interference. The self-centered person and the word ego, which can be used directly as "me", means that every method is permissible for the person to reach his interests. In industrial productions, there is unconscious destruction away from environmental approaches, and the same may be the case in artistic productions. This situation can be exemplified in many disciplines, from fashion design to jewelry design. It is significant that people who create artistic or industrial designs damage the ecosystem when necessary, and use biomimetic science in their designs when they are inspired by nature. While nature is completely in service to human beings, the size and importance of its existence increases as it also inspires artistic productions. In this context, attention will be drawn to nature by examining biomimetic examples in the field of art and then making an application. The existence of limited studies on the bioimitation-art relationship in our country and the absence of any publications or applications in the art of jewelry have been seen as a deficiency in this area. The starting points of art, such as material concerns in industrial productions and self-realization in artistic productions, maybe more important than the environment, which is the common value of humanity, and the obligation to take responsibility for it. The artist has a personality trait that questions and fills the void. At this stage, the artist may have seen the ecosystem as a starting point and created an irreversible void in nature with his work, that is, he may have destroyed natural resources and habitat. Since the subject is related to the ecosystem, it can be mentioned about research with a sociological aspect, as it may have effects on different individuals encountered on the street and even on global social functioning.
