Social studies course is a course that aims to educate people who are sensitive to the developments in their environment, are aware of these developments and find solutions to these developments, and are responsible and good citizens. In this context, social studies course has an important place in ensuring the social adaptation of immigrant students. As a concept with different dimensions, migration is evaluated and addressed by these disciplines as it concerns all disciplines of social sciences. The fact that it has important consequences for the societies that migrate and accept immigration makes it necessary to deal with different aspects of migration. However, the social aspect of immigrants is the most difficult and comprehensive one. Education has a great deal of work to ensure that immigrants' social integration can be achieved smoothly or with minimal problems. Education of immigrant students from different cultures, thus ensuring their social adaptation, is in the field of educational sciences. It is thought that immigrants, whose number is increasing day by day in our country, may affect the social peace of our country in the future. Therefore, the education of immigrants is an issue that should be emphasized. In the social studies course, the current issues and the social adaptation of immigrant students were examined. A qualitative research method was used within the scope of the study, and in this direction, a literature review on the subject was carried out. As a result, it is predicted that the teaching approach of current subjects expressed in the social studies curriculum is important in ensuring the social adaptation of immigrant students. However, various suggestions have been made for the application and research to be conducted.
