Abstract:

The aim of this study is to investigate the mediation role of psychological possession in the impact of managerial support on employment dedication. For this purpose, data were collected through the survey of a total of 245 participants working in the travel agencies in Fishesir and Çanakkale provinces. The study first examined the relationship between the variables and in this direction the hypotheses were created. In light of the obtained data, research hypotheses have been tested using SPSS and AMOS programs. The verifying factor analysis (DFA) for scale validity has been conducted, the intervariable relationships have been identified and the structural equality model (YEM) and the model’s conformity well-being tests and regression analysis have been conducted. To test the role of the mediator, the meaning of indirect effects was considered and boostrap method was used for this. Analysis found that managerial support significantly affects job dedication and psychological possession variables in a positive direction. According to the mediation analysis, psychological possession has been found to be a partial mediation role in the relationship between managerial support and job dedication. It is believed that the study will contribute to the field writing in theoretical and practical terms. In this context, a number of recommendations have been made to keep the work to be done in the future and to the practitioners.
