So many results that aren't mine?
References in many bibliographies are sometimes referred to as "Surname, I", so the citations of academics whose Surname and initials are the same may occasionally interfere. This problem is often the case with citation indexes all over the world.

Abstract:

Abstract:

From the 1960s when it emerged in England to the present day, cultural studies have opened a field of academic study to him by spreading the world. However, the acceptance of cultural studies and the process of corporationalization can be different from countries to countries. Japan can be shown as an example of these countries that have its own qualities. Although the first examples of academic studies we can define as cultural studies in Japan are visible from the 1920s, the arrival of British Cultural Studies to Japan has occurred in three stages. Cultural studies in Japan were first addressed by Marxist media researchers, with the influence of historical history and socio-economic conditions, post-colonial studies, ethnic minorities, while studies highlight social gender, popular culture, etc. The issues have not been evaluated for a long time. Today, although many universities in Japan have opened cultural studies programs, even in rooted state universities it is not considered an independent discipline and there are qualitative and quantitative deficiencies in the programs. The study studied the leading examples of cultural studies, the acceptance of British Cultural Studies in Japan, the corporationalization of the area and the general fields of research by an illustrative method. Also, the study of the cultural studies programmes of the Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto universities, the three major state universities of Japan, has been explained as comparative to the current educational content of the Japanese Cultural Studies.

Abstract:

Since its emergence in the UK in the 1960s, cultural studies has spread rapidly around the world and opened an academic field for itself. However, the acceptance and institutionalization process of cultural studies was different in various countries and Japan can be cited as one of them. The arrival of cultural studies in Japan took place in three stages. It was mainly adopted by Marxist media researchers whose focus was post-colonial studies. However, gender studies, popular culture, etc. have been excluded for a long time. Today, although many universities in Japan have cultural studies programs, it is still not considered as a discipline in itself even in well-established state universities and their curriculums have various deficiencies. This study analyses the early examples of cultural studies in Japan, the acceptance of British Cultural Studies, institutionalization of the field and general research areas with a descriptive method. In addition, by analyzing the cultural studies programs of Tokyo University, Osaka University and Kyoto University, the current educational contents of Japanese Cultural Studies are also explained.
