Covid-19 pandemisi ile birlikte yaşanan karantinada kamusal alan özel alana taşınmış ve hayat eve sığ(dırıl)maya çalışılmıştır. Böylelikle, tüm dünyada olduğu gibi Türkiye’de de kadına yönelik ev içi şiddet vakalarında artış görülmeye başlanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı yaşanan karantina ile birlikte kadına yönelik artan ev içi şiddeti “mekân” “sermaye” ve “habitus” bağlamında anlamaya çalışmaktır. Bu çerçevede “koronavirüs pandemisi sürecinde bir mekân olarak ev nasıl (yeniden) inşa edilmektedir?” sorusu Lefebvre'nin mekân kavramıyla; “koronavirüs pandemisi sürecinde kadına yönelik ev içi şiddet neden artış göstermiştir?” sorusu ise Bourdieu’nun habitus ve sermaye kavramları ile tartışılmaya çalışılmıştır. Derleme olan bu çalışmada yapılan tartışmalar çerçevesinde pandemi sürecinde kadına yönelik ev içi şiddeti artıran risk faktörleri belirlenmiştir. Bunlar; kamusal alana taşınamayan iktidar ve güç ilişkilerinin özel alana taş(ın)ması, kadınların ekonomik sermayelerini kaybetmesi, şiddeti fail açısından meşru kılacak bir ev mekânının pandemiyle birlikte sağlanması ve kadınların sosyal ağlarını kaybederek sosyal destek mekanizmalarından yararlanamamalarıdır. Sonuç olarak, salgın gibi kriz durumlarında mevcut politikaları temel alan uygulamaların kadınların da içinde bulundukları koşulları dikkate alarak yeniden düzenlenmesi gerektiği düşünülmektedir.
In the quarantine with the Covid-19 pandemic, the public space was moved to the private area and the life was tried to be sheltered. In Turkey, as in the world, the number of cases of domestic violence against women has increased. The main objective of this study is to try to understand the increasing domestic violence against women along with the quarantine that is experienced in the context of "factory" "capital" and "habitus". In this context, "How is the house (rebuilt) as a place in the process of coronavirus pandemic?" The question is with Lefebvre’s place concept: “Why has domestic violence against women increased during the coronavirus pandemic process?” The question was tried to be discussed by Bourdieu’s habitus and capital concepts. In the framework of the discussions conducted in this study, the risk factors that increase domestic violence against women during the pandemic process have been identified. These are: the stone of the power and power relations that cannot be moved to the public sphere to the private sphere, the loss of women’s economic capital, the provision of a home space that will legalize violence in terms of failure, and the failure of women to benefit from social support mechanisms by losing their social networks. As a result, practices based on existing policies in crises such as epidemic are considered to be reorganized taking into account the conditions in which women are also.
In the quarantine with the Covid-19 pandemic, public space has moved to private space and life is tried to be fitted into home. Therefore, cases of domestic violence against women in Turkey as well as all over the world have started to increase. The main purpose of study is to comprehend the increasing domestic violence against women during quarantine with regard to context of “space” “capital” and “habitus”. In this case, the question of "how is the home (re)constructed as a space in the coronavirus pandemic process?" is discussed with Lefebvre’s concept of space; and the question “why has domestic violence against women increased during the coronavirus pandemic process?” is discussed with Bourdieu's concept of habitus and capital. In this review study, risk factors that increase domestic violence against women during the pandemic have been identified. The risk factors are transferring to power and control relations from public space to private space, the loss of women's economic capital, the consist of home space that legalizes the violence for perpetrator and women's can not benefit from social support mechanisms by having lack of social networks in the pandemic process. Consequently, it is suggested that practices based on existing policies should be reorganized considering women's conditions in crisis situations such as pandemic.
