Turkish art has its own unique narrative style and the cultural values of Turkish traditions. The Turks have produced figures, patterns and motifs that correspond to their own world view in every field of traditional art. When we look at these motifs and figures in traditional arts, it is seen that the decorations of the architectural structures are in different daily usage belongings such as carpets and rugs. Apart from handicrafts, the wall painting and the art of miniature art that were developed officially provided the opportunity to be depicted in two-dimensional expression. Turkish art begins to move away from the two-dimensional expression of this traditional art and miniature in the Ottoman Empire's westernization policies in the 18th century. From the 18th and 19th centuries, reforms are made in the western model of the army, navy, education and arts. With these reforms, it is seen that the way of expression of the traditional arts has been replaced with European style of painting. The reforms in the Turkish painting art in the period of the Turkish art of painting, the old social standards and values were replaced by Western social norms. In the early years of the republic, a group of artists who are sensitive to their own cultural phenomena and national values begin to use the traditional language of language. In 1933, some of the D group painters act with this idea. Artists such as Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu and Turgut Zaim use motifs and similar elements of traditional arts. This attitude, which belongs to the traditional miniature style of Turkish artists, calligraphy, handicrafts and folk arts, continues as an attitude preferred by contemporary contemporary artists in their production.
