Türkiye’de güzel sanatlar eğitimi veren fakültelerin müfredat programında yer alan “çağdaş sanat” dersleri resim sanatı üzerinden anlatılmaktadır. Dolayısıyla öğrenciler çağdaş sanat terimini sadece modern resim sanatı ile ilişkilendirmektedirler. Bu nedenle öğrencilerin çağdaş sanatı gerektiği gibi anlayamadığı ve değerlendiremediği gözlemlenmiştir. Ayrıca çağdaş sanatlara ait ders içeriklerinin pratik anlamda da desteklenmemesi öğrencilerin bu alanla ilgili eser üretiminde önemli bir sorun haline gelmiştir. Çağdaş sanatlar ders içeriği güzel sanatlar eğitimi bölümü programlarında yalnızca teorik anlatımlarla sınırlanmamalı, aynı zamanda da uygulamalarla (üç boyutlu ve diğer) desteklenmelidir. Bu amaçla, lisans düzeyindeki sanat eğitimcisi adaylarına yönelik olarak üç boyutlu heykel çalışmaları ile birlikte çağdaş sanatlardaki yeni eğilimleri içeren, kuramsal-deneysel bir araştırma-inceleme modeli geliştirilmiştir. Disiplinlerarası sanat anlayışından hareketle tasarlanan bu model, çağdaş sanatların özünü öğrencilere en doğru şekilde aktarmak üzere tasarlanmıştır. Öğrencilerin çağdaş sanatlar alanında üç boyutlu çalışmalarında kuramsal bilgi ve pratik becerilerindeki kaliteyi yükseltmeyi amaçlayan bu araştırmamızda, çağdaş sanat eğitimine uygun, geleceğin sanat eğitmenlerine yönelik “Çağdaş Sanatta Yeni Eğilimler” adlı bir ders önermekteyiz. Nitel bir eylem araştırması yöntemi ile 11 haftalık süreçte 10 öğrenci ile planlanan araştırmamızın veri toplama araçları şu şekildedir: Öğrencilerin ve araştırmacıların günlükleri, görüşmeler ve workshop uygulamasına dair uzman görüşleri. Araştırmamızın bulgularında sanat eğitimcisi adaylarının çağdaş sanatlar alanında teorik bilgi ve deneyim yönünden yetersiz oldukları ve bu alanda ön yargılı bir tutuma sahip oldukları sonucu çıkmıştır. Araştırmamızın uygulama sonucunda “Çağdaş Sanatta Yeni Eğilimler” modeli ile öğrencilerin: çağdaş sanatın yapısının, işlevinin, anlam ve öneminin farkına varan ve çağdaş sanat üretimini önemseyen yeni bir tutum içine girdikleri saptanmıştır. Buna ilaveten, önerdiğimiz bu özgün ve yeni modelin: sadece lisans son sınıf heykel öğrencilerine değil, tüm diğer sanat dallarına yönelik planlanmasına dair bir ihtiyacın belirdiği saptanmıştır.
The " Contemporary Art" courses included in the curriculum of the faculties that educate the beautiful arts in Turkey are told through the painting art. Therefore, students associate the term contemporary art only with modern painting. Therefore, it has been observed that students cannot understand and evaluate contemporary art as necessary. Furthermore, the fact that the course contents of contemporary arts are not supported in the practical sense has become a major problem in the production of works related to this field for students. Contemporary arts curriculum content; the arts education department programmes should not only be limited to theoretical narratives, but should also be supported by practices (three-dimensional and other). For this purpose, a theoretical-experimental research-examination model, which includes new trends in contemporary arts, along with three-dimensional sculpture works, was developed for the candidates for art educators at the bachelor’s level. This model, which is designed from the interdisciplinary art understanding, is designed to communicate the essence of contemporary art to students in the most accurate way. In this research aimed at improving the quality of the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the three-dimensional studies of students in contemporary arts, we propose a course called "New Trends in Contemporary Art" for future art teachers, in accordance with contemporary art education. The data collection tools of our research, planned with 10 students in the course of 11 weeks with a qualified action research method, are as follows: Student and researcher’s diaries, interviews and expert opinions on the application of the workshop. The findings of our research have found that the candidates for art educators are inadequate in the theoretical knowledge and experience in the field of contemporary arts and have a pre-judicial attitude in this field. As a result of our research, the "New Trends in Contemporary Art" model found that students entered a new attitude that realizes the structure, function, meaning and importance of contemporary art and concerns the production of contemporary art. In addition, this original and new model we’ve suggested has been found that there is a need to be planned not only for graduate graduate graduate graduate graduate graduate graduate graduate graduate graduate graduate graduate graduate graduate graduate graduate.
