Hayal kurduğumuz, yeni ve farklı olanı keşfettiğimiz, hani bazen alıp başımızı gittiğimiz ya da gitmeyi hayal ettiğimiz, varoluşumuzu ve geçiciliğimizi hissettiğimiz doğa, bizi keşfetmeye, incelemeye teşvik eden, hayranlık uyandıran bir o kadar da korkutan doğa, resimin, heykelin, seramiğin, mimarinin, müziğin, şiirin vb. pek çok disiplinin de esin kaynağı olmuştur. İnsanoğlu çok sınırsız ve güçlü bulduğu bu güzelliğe hükmetmek, sahip olmak istedikçe içinde kaybolmuş doğanın korkutan yüzüyle tanışmıştır. Karşılıklı bağımlı bir ilişki içerisinde olduğumuz, etki tepki dengesi içerisinde doğaya karşı ya da ona dair yapığımız her hareketin yansımasının kendi gerçeğimiz olması noktasında doğaya farkındalık, onunla uyumlanma, sınırlarına saygı duyma, onu onarma, iyileştirme, ıslah etme temaları çok sayıda akımın, sanatçının ve tasarımcının amacı olmuştur. Doğadaki süreçler, dönüşüm ve zaman algısı; sanat tarihi içerisinde romantik, kavramsal, dekoratif, olarak kimi zamanda provokatif olarak sanatçıların eserlerine konu olmuştur. Sunduğu renk ve biçim skalası ile hissettirdiği sıcaklığı, yaydığı koku ile tüm duyularımıza hitap eden görsel bir şölene dönüşen doğayı İtalyan ressam Sandro Botticelli “Primavera-İlkbahar” tablosuyla selamlamış, Manet ölüm döşeğindeyken dostlarının ona getirdiği mis kokulu leylakları (Syringa), Dürer ise baharın erkenci çiçekleri olan çuha çiçeklerini (Primula veris) resmetmiştir. Tchaikovsky’nin Fındıkkıran Balesi için bestelediği “Çiçeklerin Valsi”, Jeff Koons’un 60.000 çiçekli bitkiyi kullanarak oluşturduğu “Puppy” adlı dev köpek yavrusu heykeli, Andy Goldsworthy’nin, Richard Long un açık alan düzenlenmeleri, her biri ilhamını doğadan almıştır. Konu kapsamında doğanın sunduğu bu sonsuz esin kaynakları içerisinden çiçek temasını çağdaş seramik sanatçılarının nasıl ele aldığı, malzemenin plastik dili ve imkanları ile anlatımı nasıl zenginleştirdiği örnek eserler üzerinden incelenecektir.
The nature we dream, we discover the new and different, when we sometimes take and dream of going or going, the nature we feel our existence and our temporality, the nature that encourages us to explore, explore, awaken admiration, the nature, the painting, the statue, the ceramics, the architecture, the music, the poetry, etc. Many disciplines have been a source of inspiration. We are in a mutually dependent relationship, in the balance of impact reaction, in the reflection of every movement we do against or against nature, in the point of being our own truth, the subject of awareness of nature, adaptation to it, respecting its limits, repairing it, healing it, healing it has been the goal of a lot of flow, artists and designers. The processes in nature, the transformation and the perception of time; in the art history, romantic, conceptual, decorative, and sometimes provocative, have been the subject of the works of the artists. The temperature he feels with his color and shape scale, the smell he spreads and the nature turns into a visual celebration that addresses all our senses by the Italian painter Sandro Botticelli with the painting "Primavera-Ilkbahar", Manet was on the floor of death, and his friends brought him the smellful leylak (Syringa), and Dürer painted the flower of the cottage (Primula veris), which is the early flowers of spring. Tchaikovsky's "Flowers' Valse" for the Nuts Balloon, the giant dog statue "Puppy" created by Jeff Koons using 60,000 flowering plants, Andy Goldsworthy's open space arrangements by Richard Long, each has been inspired by nature. In the context of the subject, this infinite source of inspiration provided by nature will be studied through examples of how contemporary ceramic artists deal with the theme of the flowers, how the material enriched the language and possibilities of the plastic and the narrative.
Nature, which we dream about and sometimes escape to or dream of escaping to, where we feel our existence and ephemerality, which encourages us to explore & examine and which fills us with awe, has also been a source of inspiration for many disciplines, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, architecture, music, poetry, etc. As mankind has wanted to dominate and possess this limitless and powerful beauty, it got lost in it and met its frightening side. Based on the fact that we're in a mutually dependent relationship and that the reflection of our every action against or about nature is our own reality within the balance of action and reaction, the themes of awareness about nature, harmony with nature, respecting its borders, repairing, healing and rehabilitating it have been the aim of many movements, artists and designers. Processes in nature, transformation and perception of time have been the subject of romantic, conceptual, decorative artworks as well as provocative ones at times. The Italian painter Sandro Botticelli saluted nature, which has turned into a visual feast that appeals to all our senses with the warmth it makes us feel through the color and shape scale it offers and the scent it gives off, with his painting "Primavera-Spring", whereas on his deathbed, Manet painted fragrant lilacs (Syringa) brought to him by his friends and Dürer painted primulas (Primula veris), the early flowers of spring. “Waltz of the Flowers” composed by Tchaikovsky for the Nutcracker Ballet, the giant puppy sculpture “Puppy” created by Jeff Koons using 60,000 flowering plants, individual outdoor arrangements of Andy Goldsworthy and Richard Long were all inspired by nature. Within the scope of the subject, among these endless sources of inspiration offered by nature, how contemporary ceramic artists addressed the flower theme, how they enriched expression with the language of plastic arts and means of material will be investigated through sample artworks.
