Yeryüzünde yaşayan canlılar aynı zamanda var olma mücadelesi vermektedir. İnsanlar da ilk ortaya çıktıkları dönemden itibaren bu var olma mücadelesi içerisinde olmuşlardır. Yaşadıkları ortamın fiziki yapısının yarattığı olumsuz koşulları gidermeye çalışırken, besin ve giysi ihtiyacını karşılamak, vahşi hayvanlara karşı kendini savunmak zorunda kalmışlardır. Bunların yanı sıra insanoğlu anlayamadığı, nedenini bilmediği ve çözümleyemediği doğa ve doğa üstü olaylar karşısında ne şekilde davranması gerektiğini çözmeye çalışmış, çaresiz kaldığı olayların yarattığı korkunun ve merakın sonucu, bunların tanımlayamadıkları doğaüstü güçler tarafından yapıldığı inancı hakim olmaya başlamıştır. İlerleyen süreçte insanlar bulundukları coğrafyanın şartlarına göre doğaüstü güçlerle bağlantılı inanç sistemleri oluşturmuşlar ve bu inanç sistemleri zaman içerisinde gelişme göstererek, çeşitli olayların etkisi ile gelişerek toplumların geleneksel yapılarını oluşturmaya başlamıştır. Her toplumun kendine özgü bu geleneksel yapısı, o toplumun kültürel yapısının temelini oluşturmuştur. Günümüze kadar gelebilen ve halk inanışı olarak adlandırılan uygulamaların en niteleyici özelliği batıl olarak dahi kabul gören birçok inanışın günümüzde hala uygulanıyor olmasıdır. Söz konusu inançlar toplumların yaşam tarzlarını etkilediği gibi insanların kimlik göstergesi olan giyim kuşama dair değerlerini de etkilemiştir. Tarihi süreçte insanların sosyal yaşamları, statüleri, yaşayışları, inanışları kısaca tüm özelliklerini yansıtan kültürel alt yapıları hakkında bilgiler sunmaktadır. Halk inanışlarının da insanların hem işlevsel ihtiyaçlarını karşılayan hem de sosyolojik birer kimliğe dönüşen giyim kuşam kültürüne nüfuz etmiş olması kaçınılmazdır çünkü insan giysisini bedeni üzerinde taşır ve onu bedenini ve duygu dünyasını koruduğuna inanır. Bu bazen maddi parçalar bazen de manevi değerler ile gerçekleştirilir. Bu araştırmada halk inanışlarında giyim eşyaları ve kültürüne ait değerlere ilişkin halk inançların ve bunlara dayalı uygulamaların neler olduğu araştırılmaya çalışılmıştır ve tespit edilen uygulamalar örtüleme, sahiplenme, satma/satılma, bağlama/bağlanma inanç kodları üzerinden sınıflandırılarak incelenmiştir.
Beings living on Earth are also struggling to exist. People have been in this struggle since their first appearance. While trying to solve the negative conditions created by the physical structure of the environment in which they live, they were forced to meet the needs of food and clothing, to defend themselves against wild animals. In addition to this, the human being has tried to resolve how to behave in the face of supernatural and supernatural events that he cannot understand, who cannot understand and who cannot resolve, and the result of the fear and curiosity created by the events that he is desperate has begun to dominate the belief that they are made by supernatural powers that he cannot identify. In the future, according to the conditions of the geography in which people are, they have created beliefs systems connected with supernatural powers, and these beliefs systems have evolved over time, evolved under the influence of various events, and began to create the traditional structures of societies. This unique traditional structure of each society has formed the foundation of the cultural structure of that society. The most characteristic characteristic of practices that can come to this day and are called the popular belief is that many beliefs that are even considered unknown are still being applied today. These beliefs have also influenced the values of clothing, which is a person’s identity indicator, as they have influenced society’s lifestyle. In the historical process, it provides information about the cultural substructs that briefly reflect people’s social lives, status, lives, beliefs, and all their characteristics. It is inevitable that the people’s beliefs have infiltrated the clothing culture that meets both the functional needs of people and becomes a sociological identity because they believe that the human clothing is carried on the body and that it is protected by the body and the world of emotions. This is sometimes materially made and sometimes realized by spiritual values. In this study, it was attempted to investigate what are the public beliefs and practices based on the values of clothing and culture in public beliefs, and the practices identified were studied by classifying them by covering, possessing, selling/selling, bonding/binding beliefs codes.
Every living thing on earth is struggling to exist. Human beings have also been involved in these existence discussions since their first appearance. While trying to overcome the negative conditions created by the physical structure of the environment they live in, they had to meet their food and clothing needs and defend themselves against wild animals. On the other hand, human beings have tried to figure out how to behave in the face of natural and supernatural events that they cannot understand, do not know the reason for and cannot analyze; and as a result of the fear and curiosity created by the events that they are helpless, the belief that these are made by supernatural forces that they cannot define has begun to dominate. In the following process, people have formed belief systems associated with supernatural forces according to the conditions of the geography they are in, and these belief systems have evolved over time and begun to form the traditional structures of societies by developing with the effect of various events. This traditional structure of each society has formed the base of the cultural structure of that society. The most qualifying feature of the practices that have survived to the present day and are called folk beliefs is that many beliefs that are accepted even as superstitious are still practised today. These mentioned beliefs not only affected the lifestyles of societies but also affected values related to people's clothing which is regarded as a demonstration of identity. In the historical process, it provides information about the social life, status, lifestyle, beliefs of people, in short, their cultural infrastructures that reflect all their characteristics. It is inevitable that folk beliefs have penetrated the clothing culture that both meets the functional needs of people and turns into sociological identities because people carry their clothes on their bodies and believe that they protect their bodies and emotional world. This is sometimes brought into being through material pieces and sometimes with spiritual significances. In this research, it has been tried to investigate what folk beliefs and practices based on the values of clothing, and culture are in folk beliefs, and the identified practices are examined by classifying them through the belief codes of covering, owning, selling/sale, tying/attachment.
