Psychiatric nurses use various theoretical approaches to understand the behaviors of the persons they provide care for. One of the theorists who have brought an innovative and original approach to nursing interventions is Rogers. There is no descriptive approach in Rogers’ philosophy and nurses must understand human beings and the course of life, life process very well. Understanding human beings constitutes the core of psychiatric nursing. In this hereby review article, conveying information to the reader on managing anxiety with Rogers’ view has been aimed. It is known that anxiety has a structure that serves individuals up to a certain level. Anxiety symptoms may reach an irritating level for the individual unless the deterioration in the energy field of the individual is balanced. It is possible and easy to manage anxiety with Unitary Human Beings Theory. It is seen that Rogers’ Unitary Human Theory has many reflections on nursing interventions related to anxiety management, but the theory is generally used in interventional and more complex nursing practices. In this context, it is thought that Rogers’ Unitary Human Beings Theory will shed light on nursing practices in the anxiety-based nursing interventions and researches conducted.
