Osmanlı mimarisinin mihenk taşları olarak görülen üç abideyi kendi yaşamının safhaları şeklinde nakleden Mimar Sinan’ın süsleme anlayışı üzerine pencere alınlık düzenlemeleri bu araştırmaya konu edilmiştir. Mimar Sinan’ın inşa ettiği eserde belli bir alanda kullandığı süsleme, yapım tekniği ve malzeme çeşitliliği üzerine gözlemler yapılmıştır. Bu gözlemler pencere alınlıklarında süsleme çözümlemeleri, süsleme programlarının oluşumları ve köken bilgileri üzerine yoğunlaştırılmıştır. Şehzade Camii’nde ablaq tekniği ile ortaya çıkan uygulamalar, Süleymaniye Camii’nde geleneksel çini uygulamaları olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Selimiye Camii’nde ise gerek geleneksel çini kullanımı gerek ablaq kullanımının bütünleştirildiği görülmektedir. Osmanlı mimarisini besleyen Anadolu Selçuklu ve II. Beylikler dönemi eserleri konu çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra Mimar Sinan’ın sanat üretimindeki etkenler de araştırılmıştır. Erken Osmanlı döneminde kullanımı belirlenen pencere alınlıklarının klasik dönemde gelişimi ile Mimar Sinan’ın bu uygulama alanına kattığı yenilikler incelenmiştir. Osmanlı mimarisinin prestij yapısı konumunda olan camilerde süslemenin diğer eserlere oranla daha yoğun olduğu ve süsleme kompozisyonları ile süsleme programları ön plana çıkmaktadır. Bu öncüller, çağdaşlar ve Mimar Sinan’ın eserleri içerisinde, üç yapıya odaklanılarak değerlendirme yapılmıştır. Mimar Sinan’ın eserlerinde yapının mimari öğelerini aşmayan süsleme, gelişkin görünüm ve malzeme-teknik yanında yapının tamamlayıcı bir unsurudur. Pencere alınlıklarına uygulanan süsleme kompozisyonları, belirlenen çerçeveler içerisinde bir şiirin yerleştirilmiş farklı mısraları gibidir. Yapının bütünselliği açısından tamamlayıcı bir öğedir.
The idea of decoration by the architect Sinan, which translates the three abidays seen as the stones of the Ottoman architecture in the form of the stages of his own life, has been subject to this research. In the work built by the architect Sinan, observations have been made on the decoration, manufacturing techniques and the variety of materials used in a particular area. These observations were focused on decoration solutions, decoration program formations, and source information in the windows. Applications that appear with the ablaq technique in Şehzade Camii come to us as traditional chini applications in Suleymaniye Camii. In the Selimiye Camii, it is necessary to use traditional chini and to integrate the ablak use. It is an Anatolian and the Ottoman architecture. The works of the period were examined in the framework of the subject. In addition, the factors in the architect Sinan's art production have also been studied. In the early Ottoman era, the development of the windows that were determined for use in the classical era has been studied with the innovations that the Architect Sinan added to this area of application. The prestigious structure of the Ottoman architecture is in the position that the decoration in the mosques is more intense than other works, and the decoration compositions and decoration programs are on the forefront. These pioneers, contemporaries and the works of the Architect Sinan have been evaluated by focusing on three structures. In architect Sinan's works, decoration which does not exceed the architectural elements of the structure, is a complementary element of the structure along with advanced appearance and material-technical. The decoration compositions applied to the windows are like the different edges of a poem placed within the specified frameworks. It is a complementary element in terms of the integrity of the structure.
