Abstract:

Abstract:

Shortly after the Ottoman State entered the First World War, the Sultan-Halife, according to the German desire, declared it a "cihat-i ekber". This was a historic opportunity for Germany, which planned to attack the opposition states, primarily Britain, in their colonies, and rebellion the Islamic world against its enemies. Germany, which made the jihadist idea a political and propaganda material, was making a series of projects to encourage Islamic fanatism, to release the violence of Muslims on their enemies. In the framework of this plan and propaganda, action was initially carried out in the entire Islamic world, including Afghanistan, India and Egypt. Part of the plan was also the Caucasus, and the rebellion of the Caucasus was the “shayan-i temenni”. Germany was considering every opportunity to rebell the people of the Caucasus against Russia. One of these historic opportunities was the "Young Emir Lion Han Hoyski" who claimed to be a member of the Divine Organization founded in Azerbaijan. The Emir Aslan, who crossed the border to the end of 1914, said he would burn the contrary fire in the eastern Caucasus, and said he was preparing for a major rebellion. In accordance with this plan, he offered alliance to the Ottoman State and made a number of promises to the Erzurum Console of Germany.
