The study was carried out in two private schools in Ankara during the fall semester of the 2013 -2014 academic year. The study was conducted with 220 seventh grade students and 7 teachers. The students whose teachers have at least three years of experience in using smart board were especially chosen. After getting the expert opinion, “Smart board attitude scale” including 26 questions with 5 choices for each was applied to the students. Whereas, interview protocol prepared with expert opinion including 5 que stions was administered to the teachers. In this survey model research, quantitative and qualitative data was (were) collected. The data gathered from the interviews of teachers were analyzed as qualitative data. In this study, it is concluded that usage o f smart board have significant and positive effect on students’ attitudes toward smart board. In addition, as analysis of the teachers’ interviews showed, teachers think that smart board increases motivation toward mathematics, that it has permanent effect on learning and that it does not have negative effects on students
