When art, artwork, art maker (artist) and art consumers are dealed, it is observed that consumers of art suffer in making sense of art work and appropriate the artworks that they can understand.The history of art education, in order to protect our heritage about culture and art also seems necessary to understand a work of art cognitive, emotional, artistic and social aspects of a person advanced training is an important place in the history of art education (Mülayim, 1994: 28). In our country, art history is accepted to be an issue for only talented people who had art education or people from the art community. However, as in developed countries, having enough knowledge to understand art will contribute to personal development, tastes and mental health of individuals also in our country. It is thought provoking that art history may be an interest for not only the students of art education and social areas but also the students of different branches such as science and mathematics. Indeed, Trends in Art History in Students of the Faculty of Dentistry in a private university in Ankara is the subject of this research. Research is dealed with Qualitative Research, which is a type of educational criticism model, the data is obtained from observation, video recording, and a semi-structured interview form. The findings of the research are interpreted and concluded in accordance with secondery objects.
