Abstract:

The Ottoman Police Agency, founded in 1845, was removed in 1846 after a year of existence, and replaced the Zabtiye Müşireti. The Mezkûr al-Mashiriyet was concerned with the country’s internal security between 1846-1879 and continued its existence until the establishment of the Zabtiye Nezareti in 1879. The Ottoman State, between 1879-1909, tried to ensure its country’s internal security and security with Zabtiye Nezareti. The subject of our study and covering the period between 1885-1893 about the establishment of the Sivas province police officer; when the Sivas province police officer was established, how it was organized, how the progress process between 1885-1893 was revealed. Our work has not only included information about the province center of Sivas but also information about the province-related sanctuaries and accidents and police offices of the districts. In this context, the organization of the police officers of today’s Amassia and Tokat provinces has been involved in our work. In our work; from the documents obtained on the subject from the Presidential Ottoman Archive, the Ottoman State Salms and the Sivas Provincial Salms and the authoritarian works on the subject have been used.
