Amaç – Bu çalışma BİST Sürdürülebilirlik Endeksinde işlem gören çimento üretim işletmelerinin sürdürülebilirlik performanslarına Covid 19 pandemisi sürecinin etkisini sürdürülebilir katma değer yöntemiyle ortaya çıkarmayı amaçlamaktadır. Yöntem – Figge ve Hahn (2004), tarafından kurumların sürdürülebilirliğe katkısını ölçülebilmesi için geliştirilen sürdürülebilir katma değer yöntemi kullanılarak BİST Sürdürülebilirlik Endeksinde işlem gören çimento üretim işletmelerinden ÇİMSA ve AKÇANSA’ nın sürdürülebilir kalkınma yolunda yarattığı ilave katma değer ölçülmüştür. Bulgular – 2019 yılında işletme (AKÇANSA)’ nin emsal (ÇİMSA)’ e göre, 2020 ve 2021 yıllarında ise emsal (ÇİMSA)’ in işletme (AKÇANSA)’ ye göre kaynaklarını daha etkin kullandığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Covid 19 Pandemi döneminde (2020-2021 yılları) ise işletme (AKÇANSA) tarafından yaratılan sürdürülebilir değerin emsal (ÇİMSA)’ e göre düşük olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Tartışma – BİST sürdürülebilirlik endeksinde işlem gören iki çimento üretim işletmesinin (AKÇANSA ve ÇİMSA) Covid 19 pandemisi sürecinden ekonomik olarak etkilenmedikleri, fakat 2019-2020 ve 2021 yılları baz alındığında sürdürülebilir kalkınmaya sağladıkları ilave katkı açısından istikrarsız bir performans sergiledikleri söylenebilir.
Purpose - This study aims to identify the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic process on the sustainability performance of cement production enterprises processed in the BIST Sustainability Index by means of a sustainable added value method. Method - Figge and Hahn (2004), using the sustainable value added method developed to measure the contribution of institutions to sustainability, the added value created by CIMSA and AKÇANSA in the path of sustainable development from cement production enterprises treated in the BIST Sustainability Index has been measured. The findings - in 2019 the enterprise (AKÇANSA) according to the emsal (CIMSA) and in 2020 and 2021 the emsal (CIMSA) according to the enterprise (AKÇANSA) has achieved the conclusion that its resources are used more effectively. In the Covid 19 Pandemic period (2020-2021) the sustainable value created by the enterprise (AKÇANSA) was found to be lower than the emal (CIMSA). The two cement production enterprises (AKÇANSA and CIMSA) that are trading in the BIST Sustainability Index are not economically affected by the Covid 19 pandemic process, but they can be said to show unstable performance in terms of their additional contribution to sustainable development based on 2019-2020 and 2021.
