Özet:

The aim of this study is to be able to reveal the expectations of teachers in elemantary education about vocational guidance and supervision. In order to present the expectations of the teachers in detail, one of the qualitative research methods is used, the phenomenology. The research population consists of elementary school teachers in primary school in T.R.N.C. in 2015-2016 academic year and the study group consists of 16 primary school teachers with different variables selected by maximum diversity method. During the interviews, semi-structured questions were used to interview by individually and based on volunteering at the predetermined location and time with the researchers and teachers. The collected data were analyzed by using descriptive and content analysis. The findings of the analysis were shown on the tables as the themes and subthemes and interpreted and the comments of some the teachers were shown directly by depicted. According to findings, it is determined that supervisors 'visits are less frequent than previous years, and vocational guidance and guiding directions are limited, while teachers' expectation from supervisors constitute major expectations of guiding, constructive criticism, sharing of innovations and developments in education and training.
