The aim of this study is to examine the attitudes of music teacher candidates towards individual instrument education. The relational screening model, which is among the general screening models, was used in this study. The study group is composed of 472 music teacher candidates who study at the Department of Music Educations, Department of Fine Arts Teachings, Faculty of Educations in Balıkesir, Gaziosmanpaşa, Adnan Menderes, Harran and Trakya Universities in the 2013-2014 academic year. In view of study results, it was determined that the attitudes of music teacher candidates towards individual instrument education were positive and the attitude scores were high. In addition to these results, it was concluded that, there was not a significant differences between genders, type of high school education, type of individual instruments and individual instrument instruction prior to under graduate education and the attitudes of music teacher candidates towards individual instrument education whereas there was a significant differences between class levels and choosing their individual instruments by voluntarily and the attitudes of music teacher candidates towards individual instrument education.
