Bu çalışmanın amacı rekreasyon alanında eğitim alan öğrencilerin üniversite eğitimleri öncesinde ve üniversite eğitimleri sırasında uyguladıkları kariyer planlama stratejileri ve öz liderlik becerilerini incelemek, bununla birlikte rekreasyon bölümlerinin öğrencilerin kariyer planlama süreçlerini insan kaynakları yönetimi perspektifinden nasıl yönettiklerini araştırmaktır. Çalışmada örneklem yöntemi olarak maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesi uygulanmış ve her sınıftan sekizer kişi olmak üzere toplam 32 katılımcıyla dört adet odak grup görüşmesi yapılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak 4 temel başlık altında 15 sorudan oluşan bir anket formu geliştirilmiştir. Bu form doğrultusunda odak grup görüşmeleri yapılarak ses kayıtları elde edilmiştir. Katılımcıların açık uçlu sorulara verdikleri sözlü açıklamalar içerik analizi yoluyla çözümlenmiştir. Sonuçlara göre katılımcıların tamamına yakın kısmı rekreasyon bölümü ile ilgili bilgileri ilk kez özel yetenek sınavlarına hazırlanırken ya da bölüme girerken öğrendiklerini belirtirken, bu bölümün üniversite öncesi yaptıkları kariyer planları içerisinde hiçbir zaman yer almadığını belirtmişlerdir. Bunun yanında sonuçlar öğrencilerin üniversite öğrenimleri sırasında rekreasyon ile ilgili kariyer olanaklarını kısmen de olsa öğrendiklerini, fakat üniversite eğitimi sonrasında rekreasyon alanında çalışmayı düşünmediklerini ortaya koymaktadır. Öğrencilerin öz liderlik becerileri araştırıldığında çoğunluğun yapmak istedikleri şeyler için kendilerini kolayca motive edebildikleri anlaşılırken, neredeyse tamamına yakın kısmı bu motivasyonda devamlılık sağlayabilecek potansiyelleri olduğunu belirtmişlerdir.
The aim of this study is to study the career planning strategies and self-ledging skills that students who are trained in the recreation field apply before and during university training, while the recreation departments study how students manage career planning processes from a human resource management perspective. The study applied the most diversity sample as a sample method and four focused group interviews with a total of 32 participants, including eighty people from each class. As a data collection tool, a survey form consisting of 15 questions under 4 basic titles has been developed. In this form, the focus group conversations were made through audio recordings.
