Activities such as pesticide and fertilizer application in the agricultural fields are known to be one of the most important non-point sources of pollution in surface and ground waters. On the other hand, overuse is compounded by unwise usage and water resource scarcity with looms large considering environmental problems. This research was carried out in 2010 in the field to investigate the impact of chemical fertilizers overuse on the groundwater pollution in Khorramabad. Seven well was studied in Kamalvand region, agricultural research center, Dehpir region, Gillvaran region. The results of this study indicated that the nitrate concentration was higher than the EPA standard level during the study. Moreover, since in the most area there is a close dependency between drink waters and agricultural waters, so the pollution of these water resources is a matter of concern. Phosphorous and potassium concentrations are less than EPA standards thus there in no danger.
