Abstract:

This study aims to analyze the work satisfaction of teachers working in the high schools in detail. The research is based on the phenomenological approach of the research methods. The research group is determined by the sample method. There are 18 volunteer teachers working in the school. In the data collection section, a semi-configured interview form consisting of 17 questions prepared by the researcher was used. The data obtained from this form is analyzed by the content analysis method. The analysis resulted in three themes (Win, Strength and Plans for the Future) and nine sub-themes for these themes. Research finds that teachers working in high schools have many internal and external factors affecting their job satisfaction. The main factors that lower the work satisfaction of these teachers were night attacks/beleticity tasks, fatigue and responsibilities. But the fact that the school is like the family environment and the positive relationships established with students have increased the work satisfaction of teachers. The findings obtained from the research have been discussed in the framework of the field and some recommendations have been made.
