Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk tiyatrosunda, özellikle çok partili dönem sonrası oyun yazarları toplumun ekonomik sorunlarını işleyen, yetersiz ekonomik koşulların bireyde ve toplum yaşamında istenmeyen durumlara yol açtığını, mücadelelerin zorunlu hale geldiğini anlatan oyunlar yazmıştır. Bu mücadelenin kaynağında geçim sıkıntısı ve çalışma/ iş ihtiyacı vardır. İnsanların yaşamsal gereksinimlerini karşılamak için baş ettikleri bu durumun fiziksel veya zihinsel şiddet ürettiği söylenebilir. Bu çalışmada ekonomik koşulların yarattığı şiddetin Türk oyun yazarlığında estetize edilişi üzerine odaklanılmıştır. Bu bağlamda Almanya Defteri, Bekleme Salonu ve Sevgili Pazartesilerim adlı oyun metinleri üzerinden şiddet okumaları yapılacaktır. Üç oyun metni üzerinden, toplumun ekonomik koşullar nedeniyle yaşadığı sorunların zaman içerisinde ne şekilde değiştiğini göstermektedir. Almanya Defteri 1970’li yıllar küçük esnafı üzerinden; diğer iki oyun metni 2000 sonrası dönemde özel sektörde var olma ve yerini koruyabilme üzerinden gelişir. Böylece çalışmada Türkiye’de ekonomik hareketliliğin oyun yazarlığına yansımaları incelenirken, şiddet gibi olumsuzluk çağrıştıran bir kavramın oyun yazarlığında nasıl estetik bir değer kazandığı araştırılacaktır.
In the Turkish theater of the Republic period, especially after the multi-party period, play writers have written games that describe the economic problems of society, the insufficient economic conditions lead to unwanted situations in the individual and society life, the struggles have become compulsory. The source of this struggle is the lack of survival and the need for work/work. It can be said that this condition that people face to meet their life needs produces physical or mental violence. This study focused on the esthetization of the violence created by economic conditions in Turkish play writing. In this context, violence will be read through the German Book, the Waiting Hall and the game texts called My Dear Monday. Three game texts show how the problems that society is experiencing due to economic conditions change over time. The German Book of the 1970s evolves through small trade; the other two game texts evolve through the existence and ability to preserve their place in the private sector in the post-2000 period. Thus, while the study examines the reflections of economic mobility in Turkey to the gamewriting, it will be investigated how a concept that calls negative such as violence has gained a aesthetic value in the gamewriting.
There are many plays that deals with socio-economic problems in the Turkish Theater of the Republican Period. Especially after the transition to the multi-party period, playwrights focused more on this issue. These plays are characterized by the emergence of undesirable situations for individuals and in the social life as a result of inadequate economic conditions, as well as the inevitabilty of certain struggles. At the base of this struggle, there is the need for income and work. People try to cope with this process in order to fulfil their vital needs. Thus, economic conditions produce physical or mental violence. This study focuses on how the violence created by economic conditions is aestheticized in Turkish playwriting. In this context, violence will be analyzed through the plays Almanya Defteri (Notebook of Germany), Bekleme Salonu (Waiting Lounge) and Sevgili Pazartesilerim (My Dear Mondays). The analysis of these three plays demonstrates how the social problems change as a result of economic conditions. The Almanya Defteri illustrates the economic environment within the frame of small tradesmen in the 1970s and the other two plays deal with the issue of continued presence in the private sector in the post-2000 period. In this manner, this study investigates how the economic dynamism in Turkey influenced playwriting within a period of nearly forty years, and how a negative notion such as violence gains an aesthetic value in playwriting.
