Abstract:

The social transformation with the internet entering our lives has gained a different dimension with the social networks being included by Facebook in 2004. The positive and negative situations and patterns of behavior caused by the use of Facebook on people have begun to be investigated, with the opinion that Facebook isolates people, the research data that supports this opinion has attracted attention. Using the conversation technique in the study, the role of participants in the perception of loneliness and the use of Facebook in removing loneliness was investigated. The study revealed the views of participants, first on the concept of loneliness, the feeling of loneliness in family, group of friends and romantic relationships, and then conversion data, codes. The concept of loneliness has been found that participants showed a positive, negative and both positive and negative approach. It is also the main factor that causes the feeling of common loneliness in family, friendship and romantic relationships, and other elements are also effective. Some participants thought that using Facebook was useful in suppressing the feeling of loneliness, while some said that a false world creator could not be effective in suppressing the feeling of loneliness. It is believed that the data obtained from the study will contribute to researchers trying to make psychological assessment of individuals using social media.
