Bu çalışmanın amacı, iklim değişikliği sorununun hukuki ve toplumsal boyutlarına yönelik farkındalığı tespit etmek amacıyla bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Bu amaçla tasarlanan metodolojik çalışmada alan-yazın incelenmiş 60 maddelik madde havuzu oluşturulmuş kapsam geçerliği ve yüzey geçerliği için uzman görüşlerine başvurulmuştur. Uzman görüşlerine göre düzenlenen ölçek pilot olarak 30 kişilik ön çalışmadan elde edilen verilerin madde analizi sonucunda 37 maddelik deneme formu elde edilmiştir. Çalışmaya gönüllü olarak dâhil olan 327 üniversite öğrencisine uygulanarak elde edilen veriler çözümlenmiştir. Ölçeğe ait psikometrik özellikler geçerlik ve güvenirlik analizleri ile değerlendirilmiştir. Ölçeğin yapısal geçerliği Temel Bileşenler Analizi (TBA) ve Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi (DFA) ile sınanmıştır. TBA sonucunda Genel Farkındalık, Çözüm Farkındalığı ve Hukuki Farkındalık olmak üzere 3 alt boyuttan oluşan ölçek yapısı elde edilmiştir. Ölçeğin güvenirliği Cronbach alfa (α) iç tutarlılık katsayısı ile değerlendirilmiş, Genel Farkındalık boyutu için 0,881, Çözüm Farkındalık boyutu için 0,713 ve Hukuki Farkındalık boyutu için 0,832 ve ölçek toplamı için 0,898 olarak bulunmuştur. 3 boyuttan oluşan ölçeğin geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçüm aracı olduğu gösterilmiştir.
The purpose of this study is to develop a scale to assess people's knowledge of the legal and social implications of the climate change issue.A 60-item article pool was constructed for the methodological study conducted for this purpose, which included literature review, expert consultation, and scope and surface validity testing. A 37-item trial form was created as a pilot for the scale that was structured based on the opinions of the experts after the results from the preliminary study of 30 persons were subjected to item analysis. The data obtained by applying to 327 university students who voluntarily participated in the study were analyzed. The structural validity of the scale was tested by Principal Components Analysis (PCA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). As a result of PCA, a scale structure consisting of 3 sub-dimensions was obtained, which are namely General Awareness, Solution Awareness and Legal Awareness. The reliability of the scale was evaluated by Cronbach alpha (α) internal consistency coefficient, and it was found to be 0.881 for the General Awareness dimension, 0.713 for the Solution Awareness dimension, 0.832 for the Legal Awareness dimension and 0.898 for the scale total. The three-dimensional scale has been demonstrated to be a valid and trustworthy measurement tool.
