Abstract:

Social capital is the common point of all countries. Many countries are trying to build confidence between politicians and people while creating a trust environment and strong relationships in their communities. Social capital is related to the level of confidence, norms and mutual relationships in societies. Therefore, to know the level of social capital in any society, it is necessary to know what kind of relationships there are in this society, what relationships they most care and what level they trust in it. From there, this study "Which kinds of social capital are more determining in the definition of social relations for Japan and Turkey?" He tries to answer his question. In order to answer this question, the World Values Survey compares the social capital between Japan and Turkey. This comparison shows that the level of social capital in Turkey is low compared to Japan. Furthermore, the Turkish society has an importance for family and religious relations and has an importance for close and simple relations, and it is found that the more determining kind of social capital in the definition of social relations for Turkey is the binding social capital. The Japanese society, in addition to its interest in family and close relationships, also takes attention to distant relationships and does not take much attention to religion and therefore does not take much attention to relationships based on it. Therefore, it is found that the more determining kind of social capital in the definition of social relations for Japan is the social capital that builds the bridge.
