Farklı Tür Liselere Devam Eden Öğrencilerin Yaşam Becerilerinin İncelenmesi

Yaşam becerileri bireylerin yaşamın talepleri ve zorluklarıyla etkili bir şekilde başa çıkmalarını sağlayan uyumlu ve olumlu davranış becerileridir. Sosyal normlara ve topluluk beklentilerine göre büyük ölçüde değişmekte olup bireylerin toplulukların aktif ve üretken üyeleri haline gelmelerine yardımcı olan problem çözme, eleştirel düşünme, iletişim becerileri, karar verme, yaratıcı düşünme, kişilerarası iletişim, öz farkındalık oluşturma becerileri, empati, stres ve duygularla başa çıkma gibi beceriler yaşam becerileri olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu araştırmada, farklı tür liselere devam eden öğrencilerin yaşam becerilerinin çeşitli değişkenler açısından araştırılması ve farklı tür liselere devam etme durumunun yaşam becerileri üzerindeki etkisinin farklılık oluşturup oluşturmadığının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma; 2021-2022 eğitim-öğretim yılında Kırıkkale ilinde basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen Fen Lisesi,  Anadolu Lisesi, Mesleki ve Teknik Lisesi, İmam Hatip Lisesi  ile Spor Lisesi’nde  9, 10 ve 11. sınıflarda eğitim gören (n=715) öğrenciler ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırma verileri, araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ve  Kutsal ve Nazlı (2021) tarafından geliştirilen “Yaşam Becerileri Ölçeği -Lise Formu” ile toplanmıştır. Kullanılan ölçek; sorumluluk, kariyer planlama, kişilerarası iletişim, kendini tanıma alt boyutlarını içeren 16 maddeden oluşmaktadır. Veriler; betimsel istatistiklerin yanında ANOVA analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; okul türünün yaşam becerileri ölçeği alt boyutlarına ait puan ortalamaları ile toplam puan ortalamalarında anlamlı farklılık oluşturduğu, Spor Lisesine devam eden öğrencilerin yaşam becerileri puanlarının diğer gruplara göre daha düşük olduğu saptanmıştır. Kız öğrencilerin yaşam becerilerinin erkek öğrencilerden, 16 yaşındaki öğrencilerin yaşam becerilerinin 15 yaş ile 17 yaş öğrencilerinden daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Life Skills are harmonious and positive behavior skills that enable individuals to effectively deal with life's demands and challenges. Skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, communication skills, decision-making, creative thinking, interpersonal communication, self-consciousness creation skills, empathy, stress, and dealing with emotions that help individuals become active and productive members of communities are considered as life skills. This study aims to investigate the life skills of students who go to different kinds of high schools in terms of different variables and to study whether the impact of the state of continuing to different kinds of high schools on life skills makes differences. The research was carried out in the 2021-2022 educational-learning year with students (n=715) who studied in classes 9, 10 and 11 in the Scientific High School, Anatolian High School, Professional and Technical High School, Imam Hatip High School and Sports High School, selected by the simple random sampling method in the district of Kırıkkale. The research data was collected with the "Personal Information Form" prepared by the researchers and the "Life Skills Scale -High School Form" developed by the Holy and Blessed (2021) . The scale used consists of 16 items, including responsibility, career planning, interpersonal communication, self-recognition subdimensions. The data is evaluated by ANOVA analysis alongside visual statistics. It varies greatly according to social norms and community expectations, and skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, communication skills, decision making, creative thinking, interpersonal communication, self-awareness building skills, empathy, coping with stress and emotions are considered life skills that help individuals become active and productive members of communities. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the life skills of students attending different types of high schools in terms of various variables and to examine whether the effect of attending different types of high schools on life skills makes a difference. Research was carried out in the 2021-2022 academic year, with students (n=715) studying in 9th, 10th and 11th grades in Science High School, Anatolian High School, Technical High School, Imam Hatip High School and Sports High School selected by simple random sampling method in Kırıkkale province. The research data were collected with the "Personal Information Form" prepared by the researchers and the "Life Skills Scale -High School Form" developed by Kutsal and Nazlı (2021). Scale used consists of 16 items including responsibility, career planning, interpersonal communication, self-knowledge sub-dimensions. Data, in addition to descriptive statistics, was evaluated by ANOVA analysis. As a result of the research, it was found that the school type had a significant difference between the average scores of the life skills scale sub-dimensions and the total score averages, and the life skills scores of the students attending Sports High School were lower than the other groups. It was determined that the life skills of female students were higher than male students and the life skills of 16-year-old students were higher than those of 15 years and 17 years old students.
