Abstract:

The SOLO taxonomy was developed in 1982 by Biggs and Collis to evaluate the structure of the achievements. The study aimed at analyzing the achievements of 11th and 12th classes included in the Geography Course Teaching Program, which was updated and implemented in 2018, according to the SOLO taxonomy. For this purpose, a total of 74 achievements were analyzed, including 40 achievements from the 11th class and 34 achievements from the 12th class. The investigation was carried out through document examination. The results were first analyzed by the researcher. In the following phase, three experts were asked for the opinion. The reliability of the study was estimated at 82.3%. According to the SOLO taxonomy, the units of the results studied are calculated on the basis of the frequency and percentage, the findings obtained are made tables and graphs. The study found that there was no one-way level of achievement in 11th and 12th classes. The 11th class has 11 achievements at the multi-faceted structure level, 28 achievements at the relative structure level, 1 achievements at the isolated structure level. 12 is. At the class level, 5 gains are multi-faceted structure, 29 gains are relative structure level. The building is on the 12th level. There is no profit at class level. As the expected class level in the SOLO taxonomy increases, the gains that correspond to the isolated building stage are also increasing. According to the results of the analysis, the Geographic Teaching Program does not meet this expectation.
