Abstract:

The provisional protection regulation, which regulates the regime of "interim protection" provided for in Article 91 of the Law on Foreigners and International Protection Act on 14 April 2014, entered into force on 22 October 2014. This article evaluates these two regulations that have recently entered into force from a critical perspective and from a social gender perspective. Both arrangements are contrary to the various provisions of the Istanbul Convention, which Turkey is a party to, and the conceptual concepts and non-sensitive practices of the social gender it predicts. The laws and regulations also appear out of the framework that the relevant guidelines in the EU Convention referred to in their reasons are also out of the framework for social gender issues.
