Abstract:

The objective of this study is to provide special education to superior talented students, to study the process of implementation of the first Science High School of Turkey as a leading research and development center in science education and to evaluate the assessments of the responsible scientists. The initiatives of the Republic of Turkey, which has been trying to take measures by closely monitoring the developments since the years of a global breakthrough in the field of science, have been discussed. The analysis of the projects carried out with the help of the United States due to economic difficulties and the lack of technical infrastructure, and the majority of the documents collected by American officials on the opening of the Science High School, formed the research method of this study. A large number of students involved in the T.C. project. The State Department of Education, the US Ford Foundation and the Technical University of the Middle East units have been shown to be outstanding. As a result; it has been seen that the Science High School project, a product of Turkish-American joint work, has achieved generally defined goals but has been removed from the understanding and ideal of a science revolution that will be carried out with superior skilled students in the following years of practice.
