Bu araştırmanın amacı hekim ve hemşirelerin hasta güvenliği kültürü algılarını değerlendirmektir. Literatürde hemşirelerin araştırma grubunda yer aldığı çalışmalar bulunduğu görülmüş, hekimlerin de hasta güvenliği kültürü algılarını belirlemenin önemli olduğu düşünülmüştür. Araştırmanın evrenini Ankara’da yer alan bir özel hastanede çalışan hekim ve hemşireler oluşturmaktadır. 2019 yılında Ankara’da yer alan bu özel hastanedeki toplam personel sayısı 223 iken; hastanede çalışan hekim ve hemşire sayısı toplam 121’dir. Örneklem hekim ve hemşireler arasından basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilmiş ve bu doğrultuda, Ankara’da bir özel hastanede çalışan toplam 99 hekim ve hemşireye anket uygulanmıştır. Cronbach’s Alpha iç tutarlılık katsayısı değeri 0,73’tür. Veriler SPSS programı kullanılarak, çözümlenmesinde t-testi ve anova testi değerlerine yer verilerek analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, medeni durum, meslek ve mevcut birimdeki çalışma süresi değişkenlerine göre katılımcıların hasta güvenliği kültürü algılarında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Hekimlerin hasta güvenliği kültürüne yönelik algılamalarının hemşirelere oranla daha yüksek olduğu, mevcut birimdeki çalışma süresine göre hasta güvenliği kültürüne yönelik algılamaların karşılaştırılması sonucunda da istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu belirlenmiştir.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the perceptions of physicians and nurses on patient safety culture. It has been seen in the literature that there are studies in which nurses are included in the research group, and it is thought that it is important to determine the patient safety culture perceptions of physicians. The population of the research consists of physicians and nurses working in a private hospital in Ankara. While the total number of personnel in this private hospital in Ankara in 2019 was 223; The total number of doctors and nurses working in the hospital is 121. The sample was selected from among physicians and nurses by simple random sampling method, and in this direction, a questionnaire was applied to a total of 99 physicians and nurses working in a private hospital in Ankara. The Cronbach's Alpha internal consistency coefficient value is 0.73. The obtained data were analyzed by using SPSS program, t-test and anova test values were included in the analysis. As a result of the research, it was revealed that there was a significant difference in the patient safety culture perceptions of the participants according to the variables of marital status, occupation and working time in the current unit. It was determined that physicians' perceptions of patient safety culture were higher than nurses, and there was a significant difference as a result of comparing perceptions of patient safety culture according to the working hours in the current unit.
