Sigorta endüstrisi, uzun vadeli fon oluşturması hasebiyle ekonomik büyümenin gelişmesine katkıda bulunması açısından, ülke ekonomisine kazandırdığı değer ve finans şirketleri arasındaki payı düşünüldüğünde günden güne daha önemli bir sektör haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Borsa İstanbul’da işlem gören beş sigorta şirketi incelenmiştir. Çok Kriterli Karar Verme Yöntemlerinden olan ve son zamanlarda en çok tercih edilen yöntemlerden Topsis ve Vikor yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Veri seti olarak BIST’e kote olmuş 5 şirketin 2019 yılı sonu verileri kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçları incelendiğinde her iki yöntemde finansal performans açısından en iyi ve en kötü sigorta şirketinin aşağı yukarı aynı olduğu bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır.
The insurance industry has become a more important sector from day to day when it takes into account the value it provides to the country’s economy and the share between the financial companies, in terms of its long-term funding and its contribution to economic growth. In this study, five insurance companies that are trading in Borsa Istanbul have been examined. Topsis and Vikor are the most popular methods of decision-making, which are multi-criteria methods and have recently been used. As a data set, the data of the 5 companies that have been quoted to BIST have been used in the end of 2019. When the results of the analysis were examined, it was found that the best and worst insurance company in both methods in terms of financial performance were the same.
