The definition of the “Lost Generation” in Western literature is a name given by Gertrude Stein, who, after the First World War, believes that their countries are no longer a place to live because of the humanities that have occurred, the cultural conflicts that have occurred, and that a group of American writers and artists who migrated to Europe, especially to Paris, and another American writer, American and European writers come and go to a famous hall to see his rich art collections and to build literary and artistic celebrations. Thomas Wolfe, Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, John Dos Passos, E.E. Cummings, Archibald MacLeish and Hart Crane are some of the Yitik Generation writers. Some of these authors have been influenced by the speeches on patriotism in their countries and have been involved in the back lines of war in Europe as an ambulance or truck driver. After the war, these people returning to America are so influenced by the elements that they live and witness there, such as sadness, sadness, suffering, death, blood and tears, that they now feel like individuals broken from their old values, kissed to life and isolated from it. The war causes these people to lose the unprecedented, precious, unfillable things. They all have a common share: the consciousness of the shared share of the lost Generation writers. The aim of this study is to identify the psychological background of the feeling of loss and deportation in the autobiographical stories of the American writer Thomas Wolfe, one of the Lost Generation writers, and the spiritual quest to distinguish from the other Lost Generation writers who are the writer's co-author.

It is a name given by another American writer, Gertrude Stein, who opened a famous hall where American and European writers came and went to see her rich art collection and to establish literary and artistic acquaintances. Thomas Wolfe, Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, John Dos Passos, E.E. Cummings, Archibald MacLeish, and Hart Crane are some of the Lost Generation writers. Some of these authors have been involved in the war in Europe as ambulance or truck driver, influenced by the speeches made about patriotism in their countries. After the war, these people who returned to America are so affected by the elements such as sadness, grief, pain, death, blood and tears that they lived and witnessed there, that now they feel themselves as detached from their old values, embittered and isolated from it. War causes these people to lose something invaluable, precious, irreplaceable. All of them have a common ground: The common ground of the Lost Generation writers is the awareness they lived. The aim of this study is to examine the psychological background of the sense of loss and exile in the autobiographical narratives of the American author Thomas Wolfe, one of the writers of the Lost Generation, and the spiritual pursuit that distinguishes the author from other Lost Generation writers.
