19. yüzyılda endüstri devriminin paradigmasını yansıtan modernite, insanın inanç sistemini ve alışkanlıklarını değiştirerek aklın, bilimin, tekniğin rehberliğinde ona yeni bir yaşam olanağı sunması ile varlığın büyülü şekilde idrak edilme anlayışını ortadan kaldırır. Dünyanın katı gerçekleriyle yaşamak zorunda kalan, varoluşsal bir yitiklik duygusuyla karşılaşan, buyurgan ve otoriter dille kimliği inşa edilen insan, bu ağırlıktan kurtulmak için sanat ve edebiyata sığınarak kendine yeni bir gerçeklik kurmanın peşine düşer. Nietzsche, insanı düştüğü bu durumdan kurtaracak ve onu neşelendirecek olanağın müzikte olduğunu vurgularken, Heidegger ve Foucault da şiirsel dilin kendilik değerlerini ortaya koyduğunun altını çizer. Siyasi ve sosyal normlara göre inşa edilen dilin, dünyayı ağırlaştırdığını ve taşlaştırdığını belirten İtalo Calvino ise edebiyatın söz konusu normlar karşısında imge ve metaforlar aracılığıyla “hafiflik” duygusu oluşturduğunu ileri sürer. Hafiflik değeri olan nesnelerin seçilmesinin gerek dil gerekse anlam noktasında hafifliğe işaret ettiğini ve bunun da rüya hâli yaşattığını ifade eder. Modern Türk şiirinin Yahya Kemal ile birlikte kurucu ismi kabul edilen ve poetikasını estetik bir zeminde kuran Ahmet Haşim’in şiirlerini de Calvino’nun belirlediği “hafiflik” ve “ağırlık” imgeleriyle okumak mümkündür. Hayatın katı gerçeğine karşı edebiyatı bir kaçış alanına dönüştüren Ahmet Haşim, şiirlerinde hafiflik değerleriyle taşlaşmış belleğini gün yüzüne çıkardığı gibi muhayyel/ütopik yerler de kurarak dünyada bulunmanın ağırlığına seçenek sunar.
Modernity, which reflects the paradigm of the industrial revolution in the 19th century, eliminates the concept of magically realized existence by changing the human system of beliefs and habits, by offering him a new possibility of life under the guidance of mind, science, technology. The human being, who is forced to live with the rigorous facts of the world, faced with a sense of existential disappointment, which is built in the orderful and authority language, seeks to establish a new reality to himself by refugeing to art and literature to get rid of this weight. While Nietzsche emphasizes that the possibility to save and rejoice man from this falling situation is in music, Heidegger and Foucault also emphasizes that poetic language has revealed its own values. Italo Calvino says that the language built according to political and social norms weighs and stone the world, and that literature creates a sense of "lightness" through images and metaphors against those norms. The choice of objects with lightness value means that it means lightness in the point of meaning, and that it also leaves the state of dream. It is also possible to read the poems of Ahmet Haşim, who was accepted as the founder name of modern Turkish poetry along with Yahya Kemal and who founded his poetry on an aesthetic ground, with the images of "lightness" and "weightness" defined by Calvino. Ahmet Haşim, who turns literature against the firm truth of life into a escape area, offers the choice of the weight of being in the world by establishing famous/utopic places as well as his memories stoneed with lightness values in his poems.

While Nietzsche emphasizes that the opportunity to save people from this situation and cheer them up is in music, Heidegger and Foucault underline that poetic language reveals self-worth. Italo Calvino, who states that the language built according to political and social norms makes the world heavy and petrified, argues that literature creates a sense of "lightness" through images and metaphors in the face of these norms. It states that choosing objects with the value of lightness indicates lightness in terms of language and meaning, which creates a dream state. It is possible to read the poems of Ahmet Haşim, who is considered as the founder of modern Turkish poetry together with Yahya Kemal and established his poetics on an aesthetic ground, with the images of "lightness" and "heaviness" determined by Calvino. Ahmet Haşim, who transformed literature into a space of escape against the harsh reality of life, brings to light his memory, petrified with the values of lightness in his poems, and offers an alternative to the weight of being in the world by establishing imaginary/utopian places.
