Arlette Farge - THE ALLURE OF THE ARCHIVES (book review) Arlette Farge, a French historian, researcher and research director at the French National Center for Scientific Research, specializes in 18th century France and Europe with her postgraduate studies. In 2016, he received the Dan David Award in the "Social History" category. Besides being an 18th century researcher, he is closely interested in women's history. He is currently working on popular identity, gender roles and historical narrative. The Most Beautiful History of Happiness, written with Jean Delumeau and André Comte-Sponville, was translated into Turkish in 2005 with a very naive translation of Saadet Özen. Originally known as Le Goût de l'Archive, “The Charm of Archives”, after its first publication in 1989, has so far produced 51 editions in 7 different languages worldwide.
