Abstract:

Sports games can enhance student’s interest in sports courses, promote students activeness in sports, and cultivate students to develop good sports habits. In the specific teaching practice, sports games have a certain positive effect on the physical and mental development of primary school students. This article takes the physical and mental development of primary school students as the basic point to explore the positive role of sports games in the physical and mental development of primary school students and proposes that sports games relevant teaching suggestions should be applied in the primary school physical education curriculum. By means of literature review, logical analysis, discussion with players and expert’s interview method, the students and teachers of primary school were visited and investigated. On the basis of guidance of students and teachers this paper summarizes the present situation of sports with regard to physical and mental development. In summary, primary school sports are an important way to promote the physical and mental health of primary school students. In addition to improving the bad behavior and mood of students, it can also exercise the will of students and promote the shape of primary school students’ personality.
