Zeynüddîn Mahmûd-ı Vâsıfî tarafından XVI. asrın ikinci yarısında Farsça olarak kaleme alınan Bedâyi’u’l-vekâyi’, özellikle Türk kültür ve sosyal hayatına, örf ve âdetine dair ihtiva ettiği önemli bilgiler vesilesiyle dikkat çekmektedir. Bu yönüyle Türk kültür tarihi için çok önemli olan bu eserde, özellikle Mâverâünnehir ve Türkistân coğrafyasında değişik mekânlarda tertip edilip oluşturulan edebî ve ilmî meclislerin hüviyetini yansıtan, özelliğini ortaya koyan çeşitli meclislere yer verilmiş ve onların tasvirleri yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Bedâyi’u’l-vekâyi’de yer alan, o dönem edebî meclislerine, sultanla şiir üzerine yapılan sohbetlere ve sultanlara anlatılan hikâye ve takdim edilen şiir ve resimlere ışık tutan bölümlerin tercümesine yer verilecektir. Bunların ilkinde Kildi Muhammed Sultan’ın oluşturmuş olduğu bir meclise katılan Vâsıfî’den, Uluğ Bik Mîrzâ’nın sahip olduğu haslet ve faziletleriyle ilgili konuşma yapması ve bilgi vermesini istemesi üzerine Vâsıfî’nin anlattığı dört hikâye yer almaktadır. İkincisinde Vâsıfî’nin tertip ettiği bir meclise Buhârâ’dan gelip yazmış olduğu şiiri Muzafferüddîn Sultân Muhammed Bahâdır Han’a sunmak isteyen bir kişinin gelişinden ve onun şiirinin mecliste bulunanlar tarafından eksikliklerinin giderildikten sonra sultana takdim edilmesinden sultanla Vâsıfî arasında gerçekleşen şiir ve şairle ilgili sohbetten bahsedilmekte, akabinde de Mevlânâ Hasan Şâh’ın “Kedhudâlık/damatlık cihetiyle içerisinde birçok latife ve inceliğin bulunduğu bir kasidesine yer verilmektedir. Üçüncüsünde ise Mevlânâ Yûsuf-ı Nakkâş’ın Kadı Câdek’in, Bihzâd’ın da Emîr Baba Mahmûd’un çizmiş oldukları resimleri Sultan Muhammed Bahâdır’ın meclisine göndermesinden bahsedilmektedir. Ayrıca bu bölümde yine Bihzâd’ın yaptığı Alî Şîr Nevâyî’nin resmini ona vermesinden de söz edilmektedir.
The death of Muhammad (Muhammad) 958/1551) by XVI. In the second half of the century, Bedâyi'u'l-vekâyi, which was painted in Persian, attracted attention, especially with the occasion of the important information he contained about the Turkish culture and social life, arf and ethnicity.
