Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı hemşirelik öğrencilerinin iletişim becerileri ve ekip çalışmasına yönelik tutumlarının incelenmesidir. Yöntem: Araştırma tanımlayıcı türde, Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi hemşirelik bölümünde okuyan öğrencilerle 2018 Aralık ayında yapılmıştır. Evrenin tamamının (550) araştırma kapsamına alınması hedeflenmiş ve 331 öğrenci ile çalışma tamamlanmıştır. Veriler tanımlayıcı bilgi formu, Ekip Çalışması Tutum Ölçeği ve İletişim Becerileri Değerlendirme Ölçeği aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesi SPSS 20.0 programında, tanımlayıcı istatistikler, Mann-Whitney U testi, Kruskal Wallis H testi ve Pearson korelasyon analizi kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 20.08±1.56, %83.7’si kadın olarak bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin, %81.3’ünün ekip çalışması hakkında eğitim aldığı, %53.8’inin ekip çalışmasına dahil olma durumunu “kısmen” şeklinde cevaplandırdığı, %44.1’i kendilerini ekip çalışmalarında “iyi” olarak değerlendirirken, iletişim becerileri açısından ise %44.4’ünün “iyi”şeklinde değerlendirdiği bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin ekip çalışması tutum ölçeği puan ortalaması 114.25±16.66, iletişim becerileri değerlendirme ölçeği toplam puan ortalamalarının 97.07±13.84 olduğu görülmüştür. İletişim becerileri ölçeği ve ekip çalışması tutum ölçeği puan ortalamaları ile cinsiyet arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin iletişim becerileri ile ekip çalışması tutumları arasında pozitif yönde orta düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür (r: 0.61; p<0.01) Sonuç: Öğrencilerin neredeyse yarısının hem ekip çalışması yapma durumlarına hem de iletişim becerilerine yönelik kendilerini iyi olarak değerlendirdiği, ekip çalışmasına yönelik tutum ölçeği puan ortalamalarının orta düzeyin üstünde, iletişim becerileri ölçeği puan ortalamasının ise yüksek düzeyde olduğu görülmektedir. Daha fazla sayıda ekip çalışması faaliyetleri arttırılarak farkındalıkları arttırılmalı ve iletişim becerileri desteklenmelidir.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to study nursing students’ communication skills and attitudes towards teamwork. Method: The research identifiable type was done in December 2018 with students studying in the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences. The whole universe (550) was aimed to be included in the research scope and the study with 331 students was completed. The data is collected through the identifying information form, the Teamwork Attitude Scale and the Communication Skills Assessment Scale. The data is evaluated in the SPSS 20.0 program, using identifying statistics, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis H test and Pearson correlation analysis. Results: The average age of students was 20.08±1.56, 83.7 percent were women. 81% of students. Three of them received training on teamwork, 53.8 percent responded to their involvement in teamwork in a “party” form, 44.1 percent assessed themselves as “good” in teamwork, while 44.4 percent assessed themselves as “good” in communication skills. The student’s teamwork attitude scale score average was 114.25±16.66, the communication skills scale assessment total score average was 97.07±13.84. The communication skills scale and teamwork attitude scale have been found to be a statistically significant difference between the scale and gender scale. It has been shown that there is a meaningful relationship in the positive direction between students’ communication skills and teamwork attitudes (r: 0.61; p<0. 01) Result: Nearly half of students evaluate themselves well in terms of both teamwork and communication skills, the scale of attitude towards teamwork is above the average, the scale of communication skills is above the average, and the scale of communication skills is high. More teamwork activities should be enhanced by raising awareness and supporting communication skills.
