Abstract:

This study is carried out with the aim of examining the contribution of the Eastern Anadolu Development Agency (DAKA) to the tourism sector in the province of Van. In this study, where the methods of quality research are used by the methods of behavior and conversation, the DAKA's tourism and rural development unit, the human capital and entrepreneurship policies unit and the general secretariat unit have been chosen and interviewed with the employees in these units. The research questions were created by the scan of the relevant literature and the data was obtained by a semi-configured interview form. During the data analysis period, the received answers were drawn out, and after this process the received answers were made tables by creating themes, categories and subcategories. According to the findings obtained in the study, topics have emerged in the form of corporate activities, tourism-based development, stakeholders, policy determination, investment, cultural heritage, quality of services in tourism, goals and goals. It has been achieved the results of the preparation of a special action plan for the destination, the training for the tourism sector, the support for capacity enhancement for the accommodation units, the goals for areas such as tourism of faith, ecoturism, the quality of the space should be improved, the cooperation with all stakeholders in the tourism sector, the number of staff trained in the tourism sector in the institution and the unit in particular has not been employed.
