Abstract:

Since the 2022 July issue of KADER Journal, which began publishing in 2003, we have included interviews with doyen scholars in the field of kalām. Within this scope, for the second interview of our interview series, we will be accompanied by Prof. Dr. Metin Yurdagür. Originally from a family of Crimean origin, he was born in Istanbul. Upon having graduated from Imam Hatip School, he began to study in Istanbul High Islam Institute and graduated in 1973. Then, he worked in, in the given order, The Ministry of National Education, The Presidency of Religious Affairs and various universities. He participated, under ISAM, in publication of TDV Encyclopedia of Islam from the very beginning till supplemantary fascicules. We would like to thank him, who is currently holding the position of dean in Theology Faculty of Kastamonu University, for kindly accepting our interview request.
