Objective: It is a descriptive research carried out in order to examine nurses' views about life quality and to examine their life satisfaction. Material Method: This research has been carried out on nurses working at Ege University Medicine Faculty Hospital between February 9th and March 16th. Subjects of this research are nurses working in internal and surgical units, sampling includes 280 nurses. Data has been collected with Identification Form and Satisfaction with Life Scale SLS . For evaluating data number, percentage, average, standard deviation and for analysing data variance analysis and "t" -test has been used. Results: Average score for nurses SLS was 21.99±5.85. It was found out that nurses' life satisfaction was affected by being satisfical with working as a nurse and the way of viewing life quality. Conclusion: All nurses stated that life quality was of impor tance and that it was affected primarily by poor income. On the other hand, it is concluded that nurses' life satisfaction which was consist of important dimention the quality of life was not affected nursing professional characteristics although nurses possitively percieved their quality of life. It has been suggested that training programmes should be scheduled for perceiving different aspects of nurses' life quality, internalization and putting them into practice
