Nazilerin önderliğinde girdiği İkinci Dünya Savaşı’ndan büyük bir yıkımla ayrılan Almanya, ilk şoku atlattıktan kısa bir süre sonra toparlanma hamlelerine başlamıştır. Alman ekonomisinin kısa sürede gösterdiği olağanüstü başarı öyle hayret vericidir ki dünya literatürüne Wirtschaftswunder (ekonomik mucize) terimini kazandırmıştır. Almanya, ekonomik mucizesinin gelişiminde en büyük engel olarak görülen iş gücü sorununu, başka ülkelerden misafir işçi alımı yaparak çözmüştür. Türkiye, bu dönemde en fazla misafir işçi gönderen ülke olarak Almanya’nın yakın tarihinde önemli bir rol oynamış ve oynamaya devam etmektedir. İlk giden işçilerin yaşadığı dilsel, kültürel ve sosyal sorunların bir sonucu olarak doğan Türk-Alman edebiyatı, zaman içinde hem biçimsel hem de tematik olarak birçok değişime uğramıştır. Türk-Alman edebiyatı söz konusu olduğunda akla gelen ilk isimlerden biri de Yüksel Pazarkaya’dır. Bu çalışmada Yüksel Pazarkaya’nın Yeşeriyor adlı öyküsü göstergebilimsel çözümleme yöntemiyle çözümlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Ortaya çıkarılan veriler yorumlanmış ve öyküde verilen mesajların üzerinden neredeyse elli yıl geçmesine rağmen günümüzde hala geçerliliğini koruduğu görülmüştür.
Germany, with a massive destruction from the Second World War under the leadership of the Nazis, began its recovery movements shortly after the first shock was overcome. The extraordinary success of the German economy is so surprising that it has given the world literature the term Wirtschaftswunder (economic miracle). Germany has solved the workforce problem, which is considered a major obstacle in the development of economic miracle, by recruiting guest workers from other countries. Turkey, as the country sending guest workers in this period, has played and continues to play an important role in the recent history of Germany. The Turkish-German literature, which was born as a result of the linguistic, cultural and social problems of the first-going workers, has undergone many formal and thematic changes over time. When it comes to Turkish-German literature, one of the first names that comes to mind is the Upper Market. Turkish-German literature, which was born as a result of language, cultural and social problems experienced by the first outgoing workers, has undergone many changes both formally and thematically over time. Yüksel Pazarkaya is one of the first names that comes to mind when Turkish-German literature comes into question. In this study, the short story of Yüksel Pazarkaya named Yeşiyor was analyzed by semiotic analysis. The resulting data have interpreted and it was seen that the messages given in the short story are still valid today.
