Abstract:

The most important actor in the formation of the health and safety culture at work is the professional safety expert. This actor must be given the opportunity to work in accordance with the principles of professional ethics and the necessary freedom must be recognized. But the boss-employed relationship of experts with the employer prevents them from fulfilling their duties fully, especially in non-corporate companies. In this study, the impact of employment by the public of occupational safety experts in Turkey on professional responsibilities was studied. In this context, the survey application was made face-to-face or by e-mail with the Safety Professionals. The results of the survey were reviewed and interpreted using the SPSS 21 program. According to the survey, 1.20% of work safety experts did not think that employment would have an impact on more independent audit, 4.20% partly, 33.33% quite and 61.26% definitely think. It is believed that the study will contribute to the work health and safety policy in Turkey
