Bu çalışmanın amacı, İlahiyat Fakültesi İLİTAM programında öğrenim gören öğrencilerin bu programı tercih etme nedenlerini ve karşılaştıkları sorunları belirlemektir. Araştırmada nicel ve nitel araştırma yönteminin bir arada kullanıldığı karma yöntem kullanılmıştır. Nicel kısmında betimsel tarama araştırması, nitel kısmında ise durum çalışması tercih edilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemi 2018-2019 öğretim yılının sonunda Fırat Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi, İLİTAM programında öğrenim gören 370 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın verileri 25 maddeden oluşan 5’li Likert maddeleri ve 6 yarı yapılandırılmış açık uçlu sorudan oluşan anket formu ile toplanmıştır. Anket formundaki öğrencilere ait demografik bilgiler ve Likert türündeki sorular SPSS programında betimsel istatistik yöntemlerinden frekans, yüzde ve aritmetik ortalama alınarak analiz edilmiştir. Açık uçlu soruya verilen cevaplar ise içerik analizi yöntemiyle kategorik hale getirilerek analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre İLİTAM programının ön plana çıkan tercih nedenleri şunlardır; din ile ilgili konularda bilgi sahibi olmak, mesleğimle ilgili konularda kendimi geliştirmek, inancım ile ilgili daha geniş bilgi sahibi olmak. İLİTAM programında öğrenim gören öğrencilerin ders materyalleri, öğretim üyeleri, sınav uygulamalarıyla ilgili sorunlarla karşılaştıkları tespit edilmiştir.
The aim of this study is to determine the reasons why students prefer ILITAM program and the problems they face. The research was designed with a mixed method, which used both quantitative and qualitative research methods. The descriptive survey research was used for the quantitative part of the study and the case research was used for the qualitative part. The sampling of research consists of 370 students who received their education in ILITAM program of The Faculty of Theology in Firat University at the end of 2018-2019. The data of the study was collected with survey forms which were consisted of the five-point Likert type question including 25 items and 6 semi-structured questions open-end. The Likert-type questions were analyzed as the frequency, percentage and arithmetic mean of the descriptive statistical methods were received in the SPSS program. The answers for the open-ended question were answered as they were categorized with the content analysis method. According to the obtained findings, the highest preference reasons for ILITAM are respectively to have a knowledge on the subjects related to the religion, to develop themselves on the subject related his/her occupation, to have more extensive knowledge on the belief. It was determined that the students who received the Education in ILITAM faced problems related to the course materials, academic staff, exam implementations.
