Abstract:

In addition to the rapidly growing population in cities, various economic and social developments have led to a serious increase in the number of vehicles, which has made the problem of parking in cities an important agenda. Given limited empty spaces, in crowded cities, traditional parking spaces that require large spaces (open spaces parking, floor parking, etc.) It is often insufficient to meet the needs. Therefore, with the help of technological developments, a variety of parking systems have been developed to make the use of both horizontal and vertical areas more efficient. Especially in the last twenty years, sensor technology has been used and parking processes with automatic carriers (lift, carriers, robots, etc.) The full-automatic parking system (TOOS) is the new generation of parking systems. Toos, thanks to its designs and technologies they use, provides an effective and environmentally friendly solution to the parking problem. However, academic studies on the effectiveness/efficiency of the system in the operational sense are still needed. In fact, when the literature on the subject is studied, though there is a lot of work on the design of TOOSs and the technologies to be used in TOOSs, it seems that there is a small number of work on the problems of operational planning and control of TOOSs. In the framework of the current research, various TOOSs have been technically and operationally studied and potential research/work areas that will increase operational efficiency/efficiency.
