Abstract:

The purpose of the research is to examine the studies on family participation in preschool in Turkey. In the research, document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was adopted. In the study, articles, master's and doctoral theses about family involvement in preschool between 2000 and 2021 were examined. In the research, 63 articles, 51 master's theses, and 9 doctoral theses were discussed. To reach these documents, a literature search was conducted on the sites of the National Thesis Center, Google Scholar, Ulakbim, Dergipark. Content analysis was used to analyze the research data. The results regarding the publication year, purpose, study method, study design, sample, and data collection tools of the articles, master's and doctoral theses examined in the research were obtained. As a result of the document review, it was seen that the studies were collected between the years 2016-2020, and there were mostly studies to examine the opinions, perceptions, attitudes, and beliefs of mothers, fathers, and teachers about family participation in preschool, and to determine the effects of family participation. It was observed that qualitative and quantitative methods were adopted in the studies, experimental and scanning designs were used, and data were collected through scales, forms, and interviews.
