Abstract:

This work was carried out in the Zigana basin, which enters the village of Gümüşhane or Torul district of Zigana. In the study, the natural plant species found in the pool for the agroforestry applications and the fields and garden plants cultivated, they were evaluated according to the land use status. The application of the agroforestry systems has been tried to be determined by taking into account the condition of the pool. In the Zigana pool, the agroforestry models have a wide application potential, the silvopastoralism comes at the beginning. This is followed by agrosilvikultur and agrosilvopastoral applications. In addition to the different applications of existing systems, it is possible to see different agroforestry applications for rural development. These include woodless forest products (ODOUs), rural tourism, harvesting, etc. Applications can be counted. It has been found that these activities have traditionally been widely used in past periods, and today a very few people continue to evaluate this potential. As a result, it has been revealed that for rural development and sustainable land use, agroforestry practices have significant potential in the basement, which should be supported by information and practical training.
