GİRİŞ ve AMAÇ: Bu çalışmanın amacı, protetik diş tedavisi uzmanlarının COVID-19 (Koronavirüs Hastalığı 2019) bulaşına yönelik farkındalık ve tutumlarının değerlendirilmesidir. YÖNTEM ve GEREÇLER: Çalışmaya üç farklı ülkeden (Türkiye, Fransa, İtalya) protetik diş tedavisi uzmanları katılmıştır. Elektronik anket sisteminin kullanıldığı çalışma Temmuz 2020’de gerçekleştirilmiş olup, tüm soruların cevaplandığı anketler çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde SPSS V23 programı ve ki-kare testinden yararlanılmıştır (p<0,05). BULGULAR: Katılımcıların %39,8’i erkek, %60,2’si kadındır (29,2±7,3 yıl) (N=425).
The aim of this study is to evaluate the awareness and attitude of protetic dental therapists towards the infection of COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019). Method and Requirements: The study was attended by protetic dental therapy experts from three different countries (Turkey, France, Italy). The study using the electronic survey system was carried out in July 2020 and the surveys in which all questions were answered were included in the study. In the analysis of the obtained data, the SPSS V23 program and ki-core test (p<0,05) were used. Results: 39.8% of participants are men and 60.2% are women (29.2±7.3 years) (N=425). While the chosen clinical branch is the most dangerous in terms of COVID-19 infection, the most dangerous dental applications are identified as: tooth cut, tooth stone cleaning, pulp extraction and filling process (p>0,05). There is no significant difference between the groups in the assessment of the life of the viruses for selected surfaces (plastic, stainless steel, paper/paper and copper) and aerosol (p>0,05). More than half of the participants have shown a positive attitude in the use of current protective equipment. RELATED AND RESULTATED: In terms of the parameters evaluated in the study, groups showed similar attitudes and level of awareness. However, in order to control the COVID-19 infection and process, it is necessary to update the knowledge and awareness of the protetic dental therapists.
