Abstract:

This study was designed to evaluate feedback student opinion on problem based learning, clinical skills laboratory practice and lectures. The study was performed in Ondokuz Mayıs University School of Medicine in the 2003-04 academic year. A questionnaire prepared to obtain feedback information and student evaluation on problem based learning, clinical skills laboratory and lectures was given to first year medical students. Seventy-nine questionnaires were used in the evaluation. The results showed that students gave significantly higher scores to laboratory practices and problem-based learning sessions as compared to scores they gave to lectures, indicating that our students think that laboratory practices and problem based learning sessions are more beneficial than presentations.
