In this study, determining of the petrographic and geochemical characteristic of Çataldağ granitoid which surfaces eastern of Susurluk (Balıkesir) is purposed. Fazlıkonağı formation which is consisted of Paleozoic marble intercalated amphibolite schist and mica schist form a basement part of the region, Karakaya formation is consisting Early Triassic conglomerate, sandstone, mudstone and Permian limestone blocks, Jurassic unidentified cristallized limestones and marbles, and all those formations and units are overlain by tectonically unconformable Yayla mélange. This group cut by Oligo-Miyocene aged Çataldağ granitoidic intrusive which is emplaced in study area. However Çataldağ pluton unconformable overlain by Neogene detritics and volcanic rocks. Holocrystalline texture has been seen predominantly in granitoid and determined with the resuts of petrographic analysis which is done. However, holocrystalline texture has been replaced by porphyritic texture especially on the rocks composed border and outcrop sections of granitoid. And cataclysm marks have shown on the porphyritic texture as a result of pressure effect on the exterior sections of granitoid. In addition plagioclase zones have also characterized rapid cooling of the exterior and border sections of granitoid. Geochemical studies has been doneon samples which is taken from Çataldağ granitoid, the pluton has high-K, calc-alkaline and peraluminous characteristics. Also Çataldağ pluton has characteristic of the post-collisional magmatizm features, and silicate versus the major elements and the trace elements like Rb, Sr, Y, and Ba correlations have shown the pluton experienced fractional crystallization, assimilation-fractional crystallization and magma mixing process
